Balotio can be used for a wide range of voting events hosted by Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Partnerships, Joint ventures, and Private foundations. But it works perfectly for any occasion, where you need to collect votes.

Balotio’s name is inspired by the esperanto word Baloto. It has roots in 16th-century Italy, where they used a ballot – a small ball – for casting votes in an election.

Balotio is mobile-friendly and responsive on any device. A mobile application is not needed.

The servers of Balotio are located in the EU.

Balotio is a cloud service, we do not sell standalone licenses.

First, you register your account and your space. As an owner or administrator of the space, you can create a new event. Under the event, you prepare all the questions for your vote. You invite voters to your space using their email. Once you place them on a voter list, they become eligible for the vote. Balotio handles all this and gives you additional tools to better manage your voters.

Balotio supports Simple majority (above 50% of total votes) and Two-thirds majority (above 2/3 of total votes) evaluations and Three-fifths majority (above 3/5 of total votes).

You can choose from For and Against type (predefined choices In favour, Against, Abstain) or Multiple choice (define custom choices).

Yes! Balotio supports both public and secret voting. You can define this for each question individually. The results of secret voting are not visible to voters until they are published by event administrators.

During the voting, you can only see which voters cast their votes, but not their choices. As a voter, you can only see the final result of the question. Event administrators can see the choices of all voters.
